Education: postgraduate degree

Qualifications:

  • Current certification as a Physician Assistant (PA-C) or Nurse Practitioner (NP)
  • Active state license to practice
  • DEA license (or ability to obtain)
  • Background or experience in sports medicine (preferred)
  • Proficiency in clinical procedures, including venipuncture and IV administration
  • Strong clinical decision-making and diagnostic abilities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Skills:

  • Experience in primary care, orthopedics, or sports medicine settings
  • Strong knowledge of musculoskeletal injuries and rehabilitation protocols
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills

Responsibilities:

  • Perform comprehensive patient evaluations, including medical histories and physical examinations
  • Diagnose and treat acute and chronic medical conditions
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
  • Prescribe medications and monitor patient responses
  • Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests (lab work, imaging, etc.)
  • Perform clinical procedures within scope of practice, including suturing, wound care, and joint injections
  • Conduct venipuncture (blood draws) and administer intravenous (IV) therapies
  • Provide sports medicine care, including injury evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation planning
