Cuts and lacerations are common injuries, especially in active individuals and athletes. Our urgent care team is prepared to provide the necessary treatment, whether a minor cut or a deeper laceration.

• Evaluation and Cleaning: We begin with thoroughly cleaning and evaluating the wound to assess its depth and severity.
  Closure Techniques: Depending on the wound, we may use stitches, staples, or skin adhesives to close the laceration effectively.
• Infection Prevention: We administer appropriate wound care and, if necessary, recommend or prescribe antibiotics to prevent infection.
• Follow-Up Care: Our team provides instructions for at-home wound care and schedules follow-up visits to monitor healing.

Infections, whether skin infections, respiratory infections, or urinary tract infections, require prompt attention to prevent the worsening of symptoms.

• Diagnosis: We utilize clinical assessment and, if necessary, lab tests to accurately diagnose the type of infection.
• Treatment: Treatment typically involves prescribing antibiotics or other appropriate medications. For skin infections, we may also perform an incision and/or drainage if needed.
• Preventive Advice: Our team offers guidance on preventing future infections, including hygiene practices and when to seek medical attention.

• Minor burns: Providing care for first-degree and minor second-degree burns, including cleaning, dressing, and pain management.
• Sprains and strains: Assessing and providing initial treatment for minor sprains and strains, including immobilization, home care, and rehabilitation advice.
• Allergic reactions: Managing minor allergic reactions, excluding anaphylaxis, with antihistamines or steroids, and providing guidance on allergen avoidance.
