Qualifications:
- Current certification as a Physician Assistant (PA-C) or Nurse Practitioner (NP)
- Active state license to practice
- DEA license (or ability to obtain)
- Background or experience in sports medicine (preferred)
- Proficiency in clinical procedures, including venipuncture and IV administration
- Strong clinical decision-making and diagnostic abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Skills:
- Experience in primary care, orthopedics, or sports medicine settings
- Strong knowledge of musculoskeletal injuries and rehabilitation protocols
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive patient evaluations, including medical histories and physical examinations
- Diagnose and treat acute and chronic medical conditions
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Prescribe medications and monitor patient responses
- Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests (lab work, imaging, etc.)
- Perform clinical procedures within scope of practice, including suturing, wound care, and joint injections
- Conduct venipuncture (blood draws) and administer intravenous (IV) therapies
- Provide sports medicine care, including injury evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation planning
